An ethical approach…
simply because it’s the right thing to do
Richard has always had an interest in construction and development. After he graduated from UMIST, he recognised the importance of understanding the practicalities of the day-to-day building process. He sought out hands-on site experience – and joined the Emerson Group in an assistant site manager role. He soon progressed to project management, overseeing extensive developments.
While still in his early 20s, Richard set up his own development business where he put his clear values into practice, including always delivering on promises, and being open and honest with clients. He is also a great believer that, ethically, business is a team effort, and that it is important to involve and empower people to participate.
Years of building up a broad based of knowledge have given Richard an in-depth insight, and the ability to look at development opportunities a bit differently. He formed Lane End Developments to offer development services to registered providers that provide an alternative option to frameworks. With its genuine partnership approach, the company achieves real results for clients in terms of successful, smooth running development projects.
“Everything is about delivery and performance for us. It’s the whole underpinning of what we’re about at Lane End. We put all our talents together very early on to enable the project to run forward smoothly and deliver much more.”
